Ralph William Knox, age 98, of Toms River Township, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
Ralph was born September 1st, 1924 in Conesville NY to the late John and Alta Knox. Ralph is predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothea Knox (nee Evans) they were married for 53 years.
Ralph is survived by his loving children; Paula Alexander, Marc Knox ,Craig Knox and Debbie Trenker. His 14 Grandchildren,12 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren.
Throughout Ralph's life he served his Country as a Marine, worked in the baking industry and worked with his son Craig in the flooring industry for 27 years.
Ralph's life was defined by his strong will and self-reliance. He moved out of his parents' home to his uncle's farm in his teens and still worked, lived independently and maintained nearly perfect hair well into his nineties. Ralph was a history buff who loved to travel with a fondness for historical sites in the United States and Scotland. He took was meticulous and detailed- oriented with a strong sense of the correct way to do things. Ralph was a great listener who offered thoughtful advice to family and friends at almost every hour of everyday. He was a man with very specific preferences; a black coffee and Scotch drinker who loved sandwiches and sweets and hated spinach and chocolate. He loved to watch his favorite sports teams, especially the Yankees, and explain why this year wasn't going to be their year. Since 2009, Ralph was always right about Yankees and throughout his entire life, he was right about almost everything else he said, too.
Ralph Knox was a humble, loyal generous family-orientated man with a kind spirit, and he will be deeply missed.
