Marble and brick Fireplace with brass screen, andirons and tools is comforting as it acts as a flue for the central heating furnaces located in the basement level directly beneath this room. The lights, on each end of the mantle are peculiar to this room. Similarly patterned lights originally decorated the ceiling and the sconces on the walls.
